a couple of weeks ago, i went to see antichrist with a friend. i’ve had a lot of time to think about it and i still can’t really decide if i liked it or not. the friend that joined me, did not like it stating that, “the premise was strong. a fine idea for a film. yet the flesh seemed weak. von trier had great intentions and a unique concept for a film, but the delivery fell short.”
ultimately, i thought that no matter how shocking and graphic the violence- the movie was forgettable. it didn’t scare me or make me think or even entertain me. until the movie went insane after the first hour, i was on the verge of falling asleep. anyway, everyone seems to have their own opinion about this one. so go see it or not, it doesn’t really matter. i’d rather be watching predator.
