recently my roommates and i have been getting into gossip girl. it’s filling the void in my soul that was left by the much needed cancellation of the oc. the voiceover is probably my least favorite aspect of the show thus far. all the dudes look the same and it’s the same shit we’ve always seen from these types of shows.
the other day i was sitting in the backyard with will and josh discussing the characters of serena and blair… S3XXXY vs. cute, basically. josh mentioned that he thinks that shows about rich kids are on the decline because of the state of our economy. he then went on to say:
if i was the CEO of CW, i would contact harmony korine to write and direct a new hot teen drama. there should be more teen dramas about regular kids. you know, like the movie kids. fuck, yes.
of course, there is no way that would ever fucking happen. nonetheless, i still agree that there should be a teen drama about regular middle-class teens.
